Weight loss: I suck at it

Apart from keeping up with pole dancing, I haven’t really done that much fitness since the Swansea Bay 10k.

Now, part of me thinks that’s fine, but another part of me things that 11 stone lump of a woman could do with shedding a few pounds.

I like to tell myself that muscle weighs more than fat, and I can say with certainty that I definitely have a lot more muscle than I used to. My arms are definitely firmer and larger, and I can cope pretty well in an arm wrestle.

Try me if you don’t believe me!

But, that post pregnancy belly is stil bothering me ever day. When I was running in preparation for the Cardiff Half Marathon (which never happened), I could feel myself getting stronger and more toned.

I can definitely feel the effects from pole dancing!

I can definitely feel a difference with pole dancing, too, but I think I love my food just a bit much.

I can’t diet to save my life. I don’t know what foods to eat and what’s good or bad. Okay, I know that a salad is better than a McDonald’s, but I don’t know my intake should be.

A colleague suggested going on a sugar free diet in January, and it sounds like a good idea. That was, until I looked at the doughnut on my desk infront of me, that I had just bought from Greggs. Then I wasn’t too sure.

Me in my running days. Those trainers have only been worn twice!

I’m not a massive fan of running, but I’m thinking about getting back into it. I desperately want to tone up my stomach, and I guess the only way to do that is exercise!

If anybody has any tips on how to lose a few pounds (or stone), then please, point me in the right direction!

Maybe this time in a couple of months I won’t be so flabby, you never know!
