Ever since I started blogging, I’ve wanted to get myself a decent camera. I’ve always envied other bloggers who display beautiful photos, thanks to being able to get their hands on a brilliant camera.
When Kelly (from Nature Mum Blog) and I started #ChasingNature, the desire to have a new flashy camera grew even stronger. Thankfully, my iPhone isn’t all that bad at taking photographs, and I have managed to take a few like this in the past, which I have been very impressed by!
But, unfortunately, it’s not quite what I’m after. Especially when my phone keeps telling me hat my storage is full and I’m not allowed to take any more photos. How annoying is that!?
I was chatting to my father, Phil, who lives in Dubai with his wife Rhian, and my half brother and sister, Cerys and Ceirion. We often have chats via Facebook, and one day I mentioned that I wanted to start saving for a camera.
It was then that he informed me he had a spare one at his house, and he would send it home with some people visting him from the UK. As you can imagine, I was absolutely delighted to finally get my hands on a professional camera.
#ChasingNature is something that’s become important to me, and I really want to go out and start taking impressive photographs, just like my friends do.
The camera was dropped off at my house, and I charged it up and had a bit of a play around. I used a professional camera in work a few times when I was reporting on things, but I haven’t ever had the opportunity to play around with one before.
I had a play around with the settings to find out which one I liked the best, and I’ve found one that I like. I took a few photos of Esme to try getting used to using it, and as you can see, she loves being my little model.
I can’t wait to get out and start taking great photos of our little adventures. And, if anybody has any tips, please let me know!
